SCHOOLS AND ORPHANAGES
There are 4 schools in the ministry started and founded by Patrick and Felister to help teach community children, Pastors, children, orphans whose parents have died of HIV/AIDS, street children, and very poor children. The schools have students from all over Uganda and have various religious backgrounds. The vision is to lead children to Jesus through daily morning prayers, short messages, and through acts of love and mercy. There are 1900 children in these AGAPE CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS ranging from 3 years of age to 22 years of age. 450 are orphans who have been orphaned by poverty, AIDS, war and internal displacement. In the Spring, 2008, the primary schools boasted the highest scores for their standard exams in the district!THE GOAL OF SCHOOLS AND ORPHANAGES:
The goal is to show God’s love and care through education. We are planning on having care centers for children in various parts of the country. Currently we are based in Busembatia on 25 acres of land. We aim at helping 10,000 children and orphans and need additional land to teach the children how to grow their own food. Please sponsor a child, a child's meals, books, uniforms or shoes.
FEED MY KIDS PROGRAM
We are already involved in both agricultural and animal farming. The goal is to help and support the feeding of the many children and orphans at the Agape Christian School. Another aim is to raise money locally to support mission’s endeavors and the schools. We have a small chicken farm – 700 chickens and we aim to have 15,000 chickens to help feed the children and pay teachers salaries and even assist in building classes.
We have 5 cows and pray to have 100 to give milk to the teachers and children. This will also allow us to raise money to assist missions and schools locally.
We have a small garden of cassava. We have identified a field of 1000 acres for sale. We believe God to buy the 1000 acres of land for growing maize, beans, potatoes, peanuts, rice, pineapples, matooke, and rare goats. This produce would help fund school children, mission support, and classroom construction on a local level.
