DISCIPLESHIP MISSION INTERNATIONAL
The Discipleship Mission International is a non-denominational apostolic, pentecostal, world outreach indigenous Christian organization based in Uganda, Africa.
MISSION STATEMENT
Our call and mission is to preach and propagate the gospel of our Risen Master and King Jesus in villages and urban areas in Uganda, East Africa and around the world for the forgiveness of sin and transformation of lives in the name of Jesus Christ. We use local resources to plant biblically based churches where none are found. We train both men and women who are called to evangelism, church ministry and pastoral ministry for the purpose of advancing the kingdom of God as we care for widows, orphans, the needy and the poor.WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe in the Trinity, God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit. We believe in the virgin birth and the resurrection of the dead. We believe that all people regardless of their status or wealth and religion need to accept the Lord Jesus as their personal savior for the forgiveness of sin and confess him as Lord of our lives for personal salvation and eternal life. We believe that non believers will spend eternity in heaven with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and all the good angels in peace and glory. The Holy Spirit is our helper, comforter and teacher.
We believe that God will judge the whole world and all who have not accepted Jesus will be condemned to eternal fire. We believe that God has commited the preaching of the gospel to his church. The church's mission is to shine and to win the world to God through the preaching of the gospel.
MAGADA CHURCH
Patrick and Felister Baligasima founded Magada Church, Busembatia, Uganda after a period of persecution. They remain senior pastors. The church began after Patrick and Felister were persistent in pastoring three people for three years. Patrick’s own father believed in Jesus as Lord and Savior. The church then grew from 3 people to 300 believers quickly and now has over 2000 in attendance each week. Crusades and Open Air Preaching continued in different villages and market places in various districts and other places in Uganda. From the Magada Church, there are now 350 branch churches in Uganda alone. The ministry has held Gospel Campaign Crusades in neighboring Kenya and Tanzania establishing indigenous Pentecostal churches in those countries.
